Three Missouri residents killed in western Kansas crash
GRAINFIELD, Kan. (AP) - Three members of a Kansas City area family were killed in a vehicle crash in western Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said the accident occurred Tuesday on Interstate 70 in Gove County when the family's SUV rolled over into a ditch.
The patrol said 56-year-old Mark A. Groom and his wife, 56-year-old Margaret K. Groom were killed, along with another family member, 85-year-old Richard E. Nieweg. The family is from Lee's Summit.
Three children in the vehicle survived the accident and were hospitalized in Wichita.
