Canada and the United States, the two dominant nations in women's hockey, clash again in the gold medal final LIVE on NBC. The two teams have won all four gold medals in Olympic women's hockey history, with Canada claiming three straight since the U.S. won the inaugural Olympic women's tournament in 1998.

Gracie Gold, the 18-year-old reigning national champion with the winning name, currently sits in fourth place after the short program, while teammates Ashley Wagner and Polina Edmunds are in sixth and seventh, respectively. Reigning Olympic champion Yuna Kim of South Korea currently leads the field heading into the final night, while Russia's 15-year-old star Yulia Lipnitskaya is in fifth. Gold, Wagner, Kim and Lipnitskaya are the among the skaters in the night's final group of six.

The U.S. has a deep team of contenders, led by 20-year-old Maddie Bowman. The Canadians have an impressive lineup as well, featuring2011 world champion Rosalind Groenewoud.

2013 world bronze medalist John Teller, an auto mechanic from Mammoth Lakes, California, has developed into a contender in this wild, unpredictable event.
