Tiger Baseball Aims for SEC Tourney
COLUMBIA - While the Missouri softball team will host NCAA tournament play this weekend, the Missouri baseball team is hoping to qualify for the Southeastern Conference tournament. The top 12 teams in the SEC make the conference tourney. Missouri is currently in 12th place, just percentage points ahead of Tennessee.
Thursday night, the Tigers start a three game home series with the Kentucky Wildcats. Brett raves will get the ball for Mizzou, with Eric Anderson slated to pitch Friday. Saturday's starter for the series finale is still to be determined.
Mizzou is hoping to save Rob Zastryzny for next Tuesday's opening game of the SEC tournament if they qualify.
