COLUMBIA - Regardless of rain, several tiger fans showed their support for the Mizzou Football team Saturday for their game against Arkansas State. Many fans said they would still "tailgate on" regardless of the conditions.
"I was hoping the rain would hold off, but that just wasn't the case," MU fan Craig Lehigh said. "I would definitely be here, raining or not."
One family said this was their first tailgate experience at MU and even though it was raining, they were happy to be at Memorial Stadium.
At MU's last home game, several fans were rushed to the hospital for heat stroke. Paramedics responded to more than 120 heat-related incidents during the football game against Toledo, where the temperature reached a high of 96 degrees. According to the National Weather service, the high for this Saturday is 70 degrees.
The MU Tigers play Arkansas State at 6:30 p.m at Faurot Field. The Tigers next game is October 5 in Nashville, Tenn. against Vanderbilt.
