Tigers 19th, 21st In Polls
The Tigers' 6-0 start is the 4th of all time and 1st since 1973. Dating back to last season, Missouri has won seven games in a row. The winning streak is currently the 4th best in the nation and 3rd best in school history.
The defense forced five turnovers against Texas Tech and scored 28 points off of them. Seniors Xzavie Jackson and Brandon Massey intercepted two consecutive passes and returned them both for touchdowns in the 2nd quarter.
"I think I need to talk about touchdowns a lot more so I can get some more but it really don't matter to me no more," Jackson said. "I really got a great coaching staff. My position coach, Craig [Kuligowski], he's doing a heck of a job with us."
Texas Tech's homecoming game may have been disappointing for the Red Raider faithful, but sophomore quarterback Chase Daniel still felt the noise.
"It was quite loud on Saturday for those 45-49 thousand fans that they had," Daniel said. "But you know it's going to be double that at [Texas] A&M."
The Tigers conclude the Texas road trip with a visit to College Station on Saturday to face Texas A&M.
