Tigers Anticipate Big Changes
Pitchers Aaron Crow and Rick Zagone will return as juniors, but the Tigers expect to lose a big chunk of the offense and it starts at the top with leadoff hitter, Evan Frey, who is projected to go somewhere between the 6th-and-10th round. He hit .348 and made amazing plays in centerfield all season. Designated hitter Jacob Priday and 2nd baseman Brock Bond are also expected to get drafted. In addition, Mizzou will lose 1st baseman John Mckee and shortstop Gary Arndt to graduation. There will definitely be some big changes next season, and Coach Jamieson knows there are going to be some big at-bats to fill.
"I hope we go a lot further next year. We'll definitely have the talent and the team to do it, it's just a matter of going out there and repeating it and giving the same effort and having the same trust with one another as we did this year. It's going to be another building process, but we definitely have the tools to do it next year and the year after," said Aaron Seene, Missouri Fr. Outfielder.
