Tigers Drop 9th to Oklahoma
OU closed the gap to 4-2 when Kevin Smith drove in Kaiser on a ground out to second base. Oklahoma got within one when Smith's infield single scored Russell Raley to bring the score to 4-3.
But Missouri extended its advantage to 6-3 when Hunter Mense hit a two-run homer to right field in the seventh inning, a score that would hold until the bottom of the ninth.
Smith finished 1-for-4 with two RBI and Kaiser, Rohlinger, and Jackson Williams each had one RBI. Mense, Chambers and Priday had two RBI apiece for Missouri. Nate Hammons (2-0) allowed no hits or runs in 2-3 innings of relief for Oklahoma. Rick Zagone was assessed the loss after allowing four hits and three runs, two earned, in 4 2-3 innings for Missouri.
