LAWRENCE, KS - The Missouri women's golf team is in ninth place at the 2012 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship after two rounds of play. The Tigers went 322-316-638, and the team sits above only Kansas who is 85-over-par. Oklahoma leads the championship and is currently 48-over-par. Iowa State (+53) and Baylor (+55) round out the top three.
Sophomore Taylor Gohn leads the Tigers as she sits in a tie for 19th place. Gohn went 79-79-158 through the first two rounds and recorded two birdies on the day. Alina Rogers is just a few strokes behind Gohn, sitting in a tie for 33rd place. Rogers improved through the second round and birdied her last two holes to finish the day 5-over-par.
Senior Marissa Cook is just one stroke behind Rogers as she went 79-83-162 in the first two rounds. Hannah Lovelock also improved through her second round of play as she finished the round 5-over-par for a total score of 163 after two rounds. Ariana Savich scored 80-84-164 in the first and second rounds as well.
The Tigers will tee off tomorrow beginning at 8:16 a.m.
