Tigers Host Sixth Annual Johnie Imes Invitational
COLUMBIA -- The Mizzou Women's Golf team will host the Sixth Annual Johnie Imes Invitational Monday and Tuesday at The Club at Old Hawthorne. The 54-hole event will get underway with 36 holes on Monday. The final round is scheduled for Tuesday. Play begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. on both days.
Eighteen teams make up the 2012 field. In addition to the Tigers, the field includes Redlands Community College, Oklahoma City University, Montana, Missouri State, Indiana, Florida International, Kansas State, Colorado State, Louisville, UALR, Mississippi State, Southern Methodist, UMKC, Bradley, Illinois State, Wichita State, Eastern Michigan and Iowa.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Tigers will be holding the `Birdies for a Cure' competition in order help raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. Money raised will go to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. You can find the ‘Birdies for A Cure' pledge form at the top of this page, which allows individuals, companies or families to sponsor a hole, team or individual throughout the tournament.
