STARKVILLE, MISS. - The Missouri (13-7, 2-5) women's basketball team lost to Mississippi State 69-62 Sunday afternoon.
Coming off a close loss to No. 17 Texas A&M Thursday night, the Tigers started off strong, holding the Bulldogs to 29.7 percent shooting in the first half. After exchanging points in the beginning of the game, Missouri took the lead and went into the locker room with a 32-27 advantage in Starkville, Miss.
However, the second second half was a different story as Mississippi State shot just under 50 percent from the floor and caused 12 Missouri turnovers and took the lead with around 11 to go.
Leading the Tigers were senior Bri Kulas who finished with 14 points and eight rebounds and junior Morgan Eye who played all 40 minutes while scoring 14 points.
Missouri is off until Thursday when they host Vanderbilt at Mizzou Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
