Tigers Open Play at Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Missouri Women's golf team opened play at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown on Monday. The Tigers finished the first round nine over par with a team total of 297. The Tigers are in a tie for 13th in the tournament. Hosted by UNLV, the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown is taking place at Boulder Creek Golf Club, a 6,329 yard, par-72 course.

Taylor Gohn leads the Tigers in the first round, shooting even par on the first 18 holes. She recorded two birdies on the day. Gohn will start the second round in a tie for 25th place. Close behind her, Marissa Cook sits in a tie for 48th. Cook (+2) shot three birdies on the day to give her a final total of 74. Ariana Savich also finished the round two over par to tie with Cook.

Kelly Osborne and Kate Gallagher recorded scores of 77 in the first round and will start the second round in a tie for 65th in the tournament. Osborne recorded a birdie on the back nine, while Gallagher tallied two birdies on the day.

The second round will begin Tuesday at 5:30 A.M. (CT) with the final round to be played on Wednesday beginning at 7 A.M. (CT).
