AMES, IA -- The No. 10 Missouri Tigers took game two of their three-game set with the Iowa State Cyclones, winning 8-0 in six innings on Saturday for their second run-rule victory in as many days.

The victory moves Missouri to 36-10 overall and 13-7 in the Big 12, while the Cyclones fall to 14-31 and 2-15 in league play.

A grand slam by Kelsea Roth gave the Tigers a 4-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Mackenzie Sykes started the game with a single to left-center and Jenna Marston followed with a base hit through the right side. After a walk to Ashley Fleming, Roth hit her second home run in as many days, and sixth of the season, to put Mizzou ahead early.

The Tigers tacked on three more in the second inning to lead 7-0. Ashtin Stephens singled to lead off the inning and Sykes followed with her second home run of the season to make it 6-0. Marston then doubled to left-center field and came in to score on a base hit by Fleming.

Senior Kristin Nottelmann took a perfect game into the fifth inning, before a leadoff single by Tori Torrescano gave the Cyclones their first base runner of the game. Nottelmann then issued a walk to Dalyn Varela to put two aboard. However, Nottelmann got Sara Rice to fly out to right, and on the play, Corrin Genovese cut off the throw in the infield and picked off Varela for a double play. A strikeout ended the inning and stranded Torrescano at third.

In the sixth, the Tigers added their eighth run of the game on a base hit up the middle by Genovese. Brianna Corwin came in to score.

Sykes and Corwin each went 2-for-2, with Sykes adding two runs and two RBI on her home run. Marston also picked up two hits and scored twice, while Roth's four RBI led the team.

Nottelmann threw six shutout innings to improve to 12-3 on the season. She allowed just one hit and one walk while striking out two in her fifth shutout of the season.

Missouri will look to complete the sweep tomorrow afternoon at noon.
