COLUMBIA -- The Missouri Tigers (10-9, 0-8) lost to the Oklahoma Sooners (13-6, 5-3) Saturday 62-59 in Mizzou Arena. Christine Flores registered five blocks in the contest, though the senior needed just one to lock up the top spot in Mizzou history for blocked shots. She also led the team with 24 points on offense. Morgan Eye also gave the team a lift with 13 points of her own.

The Sooners opened the scoring with a three pointer at the 18:30 mark, and Mizzou answered two minutes later as Flores made two free throws after blocking an Oklahoma shot attempt on the defensive end.

After the under-16 media timeout, Mizzou was able to turn another Oklahoma turnover into points when Morgan Eye hit her first shot of the game. The Sooners responded with four straight points to tie the game at seven, but Flores made a layup to put the Tigers back on top.

Mizzou opened play after the under-12 timeout by forcing a five-second violation on the Sooners' inbound attempt, Oklahoma's fifth turnover of the game. BreAnna Brock scored her first points of the game with a layup, then added two more on the next possession to give the Tigers a 16-9 lead. Eye answered four straight points from Oklahoma by hitting a pair of free throws, then making a three two possessions later, and ultimately drew a charge that put the game in the under-8 timeout with Mizzou leading 21-13.

The Tigers came out strong from the break again, this time offensively as Flores hit a three to give Mizzou its first double-digit lead of the game. Leading 26-20, Crafton got a chance for another bucket and took advantage by making a layup and her ensuing foul shot to put the Tigers back up seven. A late run by Oklahoma brought the game back to a single possession, with the Tigers leading by three going into halftime, 31-28.

Oklahoma scored first out of the locker room, as a moving jumper fell through to cut the Tigers' lead to one. The Sooners scored again on their next possession, regaining the lead for the first time since leading 3-2 with 16:41 in the first half. Missouri broke their scoreless streak in the second half as Flores made a fast break layup off a Sooners turnover, ending a 7-0 Oklahoma run to start the second half.

Brock added a free throw to cut the Sooners' lead to one, then made a jumper on the Tigers' next possession to give Mizzou a 36-35 lead. Four straight points by Oklahoma gave Mizzou a three-point deficit, but Brock answered again by making a layup and making a free throw to tie at 39 points. Flores gave the Tigers a lead again by making a layup for a two-point lead, but Oklahoma quickly made a layup to tie. Flores put Mizzou on top again with a three-point play bay making another layup while being fouled, but Oklahoma responded quickly again to cut the lead to one.

Trailing by three, Flores made a layup to bring the Tigers to within one, then Crafton added a layup of her own to give Mizzou the lead again heading into the under-8 timeout. Kylie Simmons put the Tigers on top 52-51 with a runner at the 6:13 mark, answering an Oklahoma bucket that gave the Sooners the lead. Flores added two more points on the Tigers' next possession, forcing the Sooners to use a timeout.

Flores scored first after the under-4 timeout, as she made a layup as Mizzou trailed by one point to give the Tigers the lead. Oklahoma regained the advantage on their ensuing possession. The Sooners added two more points on their next trip down the floor, and they brought a 59-56 lead into the final minute of play. Eye added a late three after Oklahoma made a free throw, cutting the Sooners' lead to one. The Tigers were forced to foul on the inbound, sending the Sooners to the line for two points. Priede's shot to tie as time expired rang off the rim, and Oklahoma emerged victorious, 62-59.
