Today's Talk: World War II V-E Day Anniversary
JEFFERSON CITY - One Jefferson City resident reflected back on his time fighting in the war on the 70th anniversary of "Victory in Europe," V-E day. V-E day, May 8, commemorates the day German troops throughout Europe finally laid down their arms at the end of World War II.
Jefferson City resident John Sullivan is a veteran of WWII and Legion of Honor winner. In 2014, Gov. Jay Nixon awarded Sullivan with the honor for distinguishing himself during the liberation of France.
