Toddler Wounded by Bullet Fired into KC Home
KANSAS CITY - A 2-year-old boy is recovering from a gunshot wound he suffered when someone fired into his Kansas City home.
Police are investigating whether Friday's shooting was related to an incident a few months ago when shots were fired at the same house.
The Kansas City Star reports the toddler was watching TV in his living room when Friday's shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. The boy was struck in the back and taken to a hospital in critical condition. He had surgery for internal injuries.
Neighbors reported hearing about four shots and seeing several teens run away.
The 2-year-old's older brother says the toddler was alert and crying when police arrived. The brother also says the family wants to move and had planned to look at another house Friday.
