Tractor Trailer Accident Stops Union Pacific Traffic
JEFFERSON CITY - A tractor trailer collided with a pickup truck at about 5:20 p.m. Thursday on Algoa Road.
The driver of the tractor trailer, Clifford Williams ran off the right side of the road then overcorrected and crossed over the center line into incoming traffic.
The tractor trailer hit a boat and a trailer the pickup truck was pulling. Kevin Case was driving the pickup.
After hitting the pickup truck, the tractor trailer continued across the street and ran off the left side of the road. It ran partially over an embankment but stopped before landing on a set of Union Pacific railroad tracks.
Union Pacific railroad traffic was stopped briefly and reopened in a limited use capacity. The accident also stopped traffic on Algoa Road for about four hours.
There were no injuries in the accident.
