Traveling Plans for Labor Day
KINGDOM CITY - The Labor Day weekend gives families some extra time to spend with their families for a long weekend. Kim Werth from Springfield, Illinois was on her way home from a weekend at her home in the Lake of the Ozarks. "We worked on the house, we didn't go boating but we went out for diner and went shopping." Jim Frazier was making his way back to Mexico, Missouri after his annual family reunion in Arkansas. "We have about sixty family members that meet there that range from New York to California in six different states. We rent a big camp and all stay there. We golf, fish, go on canoe trips and do a lot of hiking. It is a lot of fun every year."
Frazier said that although gas prices were a little bit better this year, the steep prices would not have stopped he and his family from spending the weekend with their relatives.
