Trial date set for Cole County murder case
JEFFERSON CITY - A trial is set for March 14 for a man charged for second degree murder in Cole County.
Cole County deputies arrested and charged Paris Alexander-Henderson for unlawful use of a weapon and murder in the second degree in the shooting of Bryant Sturke on April 25, 2015.
Jefferson City police were responding to a shots fired call near the area of 1400 Elizabeth St. when they found Sturke in a car.
After being taken to a local hospital, Sturke was pronounced dead.
Investigators say Alexander-Henderson confessed at the police department in April.
JCPD Lt. David Williams said Alexander-Henderson has had previous encounters with law enforcement.
