Truman State student killed by vehicle identified
KIRKSVILLE (AP) - Authorities in Kirksville have identified the Truman State University student who was struck by a vehicle over the weekend.
The accident happened Saturday night, killing 19-year-old Connor Cunningham of Edwardsville, Illinois.
Police responding to the accident call Saturday night found Cunningham several blocks from the scene. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
The driver, a 41-year-old man from Tennessee, stopped and cooperated with police. He was not ticketed. An investigation continues.
Truman State officials say a memorial service for Cunningham is planned, but details have not been finalized.
