Truman Trolley gets People from KC to Independence
Starting Tuesday, people with reservations can board trolleys at Kansas City's Union Station. The trolleys will depart at 10 a.m. Monday through Saturday and take visitors to about a dozen places in Independence. Besides Truman-related sites, stops will include attractions such as the National Frontier Trails Museum. At 5:30 p.m., visitors can catch a trolley at Independence Square for a nonstop, return trip to Union Station. Tickets cost $1 per person. Reservations aren't required for people boarding the trolley at any stop in Independence. The trolleys will run until Oct. 2.
