Turkeys provided for displaced Ferguson workers
FERGUSON (AP) - The St. Louis County chapter of the NAACP is passing out Thanksgiving turkeys for those who lost jobs due to the rioting in Ferguson.
NAACP officials on Wednesday said they will distribute 200 turkeys Thursday afternoon from the St. Louis County NAACP headquarters on Natural Bridge Road. Recipients must present a paycheck stub to show proof that they work at a business closed in Ferguson.
John Gaskin III of the NAACP says an anonymous donor paid for the turkeys.
