Two arrested by task force on methamphetamine charges

AUDRAIN COUNTY - The East Central Drug Task Force announced Monday it made two arrests in Audrain County for methamphetamine possession and other drug charges.

On Thursday, the task force served a search warrant in the 44000 block of Highway WW outside of Vandalia. Officers said they seized methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia and arrested 55-year-old Robert Lee Kohl (pictured right).

Kohl faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Saturday, the task force served a search warrant in the 100 block of Athey Street in Farber. Officers said they seized methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and more than $60,000 in cash.

Drug task force officers then arrested 39-year-old Donald Christian (pictured left), who faces charges of distribution of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The East Central Drug Task Force, organized in 2001, serves the cities of Bowling Green, Fayette, High Hill, Mexico, Montgomery City, New Florence, Vandalia and Warrenton, the counties of Audrain, Cooper, Howard, Montgomery, Pike and Warren, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

It asks anyone with information on illegal drug activity to contact it at 573-473-5801, extension 330, or Audrain County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-TIPS.
