Two-Day Kansas City Air Show To Get Under Way Saturday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Kansas City Air Show is returning this weekend after a one-year absence.
The U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt demonstration team will headline the two-day event at the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport.
The show also will feature the Army Golden Knights parachute team and the Air Force Academy Gliders.
The crowds also will get to see the Flashfire Jet Truck in action. The jet-powered Chevrolet tops out at a whopping 375 mph. Visitors can also take in a traveling exhibit that tells the story of the Tuskegee Airmen, African-American pilots who flew during World War II.
