COLUMBIA - A Thursday afternoon accident in the 3000 block of Forum Boulevard sent two drivers to the hospital.

The Columbia Police Department says when they got on scene around 2 pm one car was in a ditch on the north bound side of the road. Another car was blocking the south bound lane. The driver of the car in the ditch was trapped and had to be freed with a hydraulic extrication tool.

Firefighters say both drivers were transported to University Hospital and Clinics with non-life threatening injuries.
