Two St. Louis Officers Charged with Assault
ST. LOUIS - Two St. Louis police officers are accused of punching teenage suspects in two unrelated cases.
KSDK-TV reports that officers Rory Bruce and David Wilson were both charged Wednesday with third-degree assault. Neither had a listed attorney.
Police Chief Dan Isom says Bruce is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal discipline process. Wilson has been dismissed from the department.
Bruce is accused of punching a 16-year-old suspect in the face while the teen was handcuffed.
Wilson allegedly punched another 16-year-old suspect in the head while the teen was seated in a police cruiser.
Prosecutors say audio and video recordings from police vehicles captured the attacks.
