NEW YORK, NY - For the first time ever, two Missouri Tiger football players have been selected as top ten picks in the same NFL draft.

Blaine Gabbert and Aldon Smith are both headed to the NFL, but the order in which they were selected may surprise you.

Defensive end Aldon Smith goes first, to the San Francisco 49ers with the seventh overall pick. It could be a Mizzou tandem of Smith and Smith at defensive end for the 49ers.

Former Tiger and Jefferson City Jay Justin Smith is already a starting defensive end for the Niners.

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert gives Mizzou two of the top ten players selected, when the Jacksonville Jaguars select Gabbert with the 10th pick.

In Jacksonville, Gabbert will be coached by offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter, the former Mizzou offensive coordinator under Rob Stull. Though Koetter was long gone from Mizzou by the time Gabbert arrived on campus.
