BOONE COUNTY - The Boone County Sheriff's Department arrested two 22-year-old Columbia women Thursday after deputies said they learned the women went to a different woman's house to assault her.
Sergeant Philip Smith said Marissa Davis and Alicia Cole saw the victim they were intending to assault outside of her home on Moberly Drive and attempted to confront her. Smith said the victim ran inside and tried to close the door, but Davis and Cole were able to assault her, causing a minor injury.
According to the Boone County Sheriff's Department, Davis and Cole damaged the victim's property during the altercation. Smith said there was a child inside the home at the time. The two suspects left before law enforcement arrived.
The Sheriff's Department confronted Davis and Cole during a traffic stop. Sheriff's deputies arrested the two for first degree burglary, third degree assault, second degree property damage and second degree endangering the welfare of a child.
A judge set each bond at $1,500.
The victim refused medical attention and the child was not injured, according to the sheriff's department.
