COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri announced the death of a former University of Missouri System interim president late Thursday. Gordon Lamb died Monday. Lamb was an interim leader in 2007 and 2008, and he served as president of Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago from 1986 to 1995.
In addition to this, Lamb served as interim chancellor at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, University of Missouri-Kansas City and the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Mo.
According to a UM system spokesperson, officials do not know where he died or the cause of his death. Lamb was 77 years old.
