PULASKI COUNTY — Pulaski County Sheriff Ron Long said one of the two fleeing inmates that escaped from the county jail Sunday morning was arrested near Crocker Monday evening.

Long said James Randall (J.R.) Sherrell was arrested in a home five miles west of Crocker on U Highway before 7 p.m. He says Sherrell was arrested without incident.

Sheriff's officials are still searching for the second escapee, Dustin Richardson, and his accomplice, Marlee Davy.

Authorities announced Monday they were searching for Davy after they say she drove the get-away car for the  two escaped inmates in southern Missouri. They also released the name of a jailer who has been charged in connection with the breakout.

According to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department, Davy of Lebanon led authorities on a high-speed chase through Pulaski and Miller Counties on Sunday, allegedly transporting two inmates who had escaped from the Pulaski County Jail that morning.

The sheriff's department said Sherrell and Richardson were seen in the vehicle driven by Davy, and that the three tried to harm a pursuing deputy during the chase.

The chase ended after fifteen minutes when the deputy's tire blew out, allowing Davy and the fugitives to escape.

Felony charges relating to the chase are expected to be filed at some time on Monday, according to the sheriff's department.

Pulaski County jailer Angelica Black was arrested Sunday afternoon by authorities investigating the original escape. Black, 22, is believed to have had a sexual relationship with Richardson during his imprisonment. She is charged with sexual contact with a prisoner by an employee of a jail. Her bond is set at $100,000.

Davy, 21, was last spotted driving a red Chevy Suburban north of Richland. The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department asks anyone with information about the location of Davy or the two escapees to call (573) 774 - 6196 or 911.
