UPDATE: Ambulance Stolen Outside St. Louis Hospital Found
ST. LOUIS (AP) - Authorities say an ambulance stolen while it was idling outside a St. Louis hospital's emergency room has been found in neighboring Illinois.
The ambulance turned up in East St. Louis, Ill., not long after it was reported taken about 3 a.m. Monday outside Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
The ambulance had been left idling for about 15 minutes before paramedics realized it was missing.
Police say the vehicle was owned by MedStar Ambulance Inc. based in Sparta, Ill.
There's no immediate word on any arrests.
