UPDATE: Columbia Police Investigate Blue Ridge Robbery
COLUMBIA - Officers were called to the 2400 block of Blue Ridge in Columbia at 7:46 Wednesday morning in reference to a possible burglary in process.
When officers got to the scene, they saw two suspects running from the back of the residence. The officers chased them on foot for a short amount of time, and caught one suspect. The second suspect has not been located at this time.
Dreshawn M. Marshall, 17, was arrested and charged with second degree burglary, felony resisting arrest, and felony stealing.
Because the foot chase occurred nearby three schools, the Columbia Public School District was notified. At 8:47 a.m., Blue Ridge Elementary, Lange Middle School, and Oakland Junior High were put on lock down. The students were in no danger and the lock down was released at 9:32 a.m.
