COLUMBIA - The Columbia Police Department said at about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday it apprehended a male suspect in the parking lot of Best Buy on West Worley Street after he fled from another business in the area. Sergeant Jason Jones said authorities found 25-year-old Michael Davidson at that parking lot, just outside an undisclosed business on the 200 block of North Stadium Boulevard-- where an alarm had been set off.
Jones said police arrested Davidson on two counts of felony stealing. Officers determined the suspect had warrants out for his arrest after placing him in custody. Jones said the police department later determined the business where the alarm sounded was secure. Davidson is still in custody early Tuesday.
