ASHLAND - A house fire claimed an Ashland home Friday evening. Boone County and Southern Boone County Fire Protection District crews couldn't keep the blaze from spreading from the back porch to the roof and attic. The cause of the fire have not been confirmed.

Firefighters had to enter the home and tear through the ceiling to contain the attic fire. 60 firefighers contstantly rotated so as not to overheat.

The residents of the house were inside of the home when the fire started but managed to escape unharmed. No injuries have been reported, but the house has been deemed a total loss.
