KINGDOM CITY - A fire at what used to be Roger's Tower Service took a man's life late Thursday night.

48-year-old William Reeg Jr. lived in the residence with an adult female and child. The female was able to escape the fire and the child was not home at the time.

Around 1:30 a.m. deputies and firefighters located Reeg's body inside the burning structure. Reeg was transported to the Boone/Callaway County Medical Examiner's Office for autopsy, which revealed no suspicion of foul play.

Callaway County Sheriff's deputies, North Callaway Fire Protection District, Central Callaway Fire Protection Distrcit and the Millersburg Fire Protection District all responded to the fire around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Sheriff and fire marshal investigators will continue to investigate to determine the origin of fire. Due to the size of the building and extensive damage caused by the fire, the investigation will likely take weeks.
