UPDATE: Pike County Sheriff's Office Reports Three Escaped Inmates Found
PIKE COUNTY - The Pike County Sheriff's Office reports three of five escaped inmates are now in custody in Oklahoma. Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte reports Jacob Darnell, 22, Jason Darnell, 25, and Emanuel Chatman, 27, all of Louisiana, Mo. were taken into custody around 2 a.m. Monday in Midwest City, Ok.
A complaint was called into the local police that the three were asking for money near a convenience store. They were found in a 2003 black Chevy pickup. A police K9 located a methamphetamine pipe on one of the three.
The search continues for William Wilkerson Jr., 40, of Florissant and Joseph Verive male, 49, formerly of Elsberry, Mo. All five men escaped from the Pike County jail Saturday night.
