UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect in Oakland Gravel Incident
COLUMBIA - Officers arrested a suspect on Tuesday morning in connection with Monday's shots fired incident on Oakland Gravel Road. Police arrested Kendra McClain for second-degree assault with a bond of $4,500. She was also arrested for unlawful use of a weapon.
Officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of Oakland Gravel Road reference a caller hearing one shot fired in the area.
Upon arrival, officers were told by witnesses that a black female was involved in an altercation when she fired one shot at the male victim. The suspect is known to the victim. No one was injured during the incident and the suspect was gone from the scene when officers arrived.
At this time this incident is still under investigation.
