COLUMBIA - Columbia police officers reopened both lanes of Providence Road in Columbia at the intersection with Ash Street. According to the police department, the early morning closure occurred because of an injury accident where a female got stuck in a vehicle. Officers were able to get her out.

Two officers responded to the accident. The department said the road is clear, but traffic lights at the intersection are still flashing the caution signals.
