UPDATE: Suspect arrested in Sunday shooting outside a Columbia home
COLUMBIA - Columbia Police arrested Branden J. Truss Tuesday morning in conjunction with Sunday's reported shooting by three men at a group of women outside a home on Bodie Drive. He was charged with: armed criminal action, domestic assault in the first degree, endangering the welfare of children, first degree assault, property damage in the first defree and unlawful use of weapons felony.
According to the Columbia Police Department, the women flagged police down at the intersection of Hitt Street and Broadway just after 1 a.m. Sunday, saying a man they knew pulled a gun on them.
CPD said shortly after the women headed to a house on the 1400 block of Bodie Drive where three men started shooting at them. The women told police they ran inside the house and were not injured.
Officers found bullet holes in one of the women's car.
The other two male suspects have not been arrested.
