US Rep. Luetkemeyer re-elected in Missouri
JEFFERSON CITY (AP) - Republican U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer has won election to another term representing an east-central Missouri congressional district.
Luetkemeyer defeated Democrat Courtney Denton and Libertarian Steven Hedrick on Tuesday in the 3rd Congressional District, which stretches from the outer St. Louis suburbs to the Jefferson City area. It marked his fourth straight election.
Luetkemeyer previously served from 1999 to 2005 in the Missouri House and from 2006 to 2008 as the Missouri tourism director under then-Gov. Matt Blunt.
Luetkemeyer has said that he would consider a 2016 gubernatorial campaign after this election.
