Va. Prosecutor Seeks Protection From Mo. Lawyer
ST. LOUIS (AP) - The lead prosecutor for Virginia's Albemarle County Commonwealth is seeking a protection order against the one-time chief legal counsel for Missouri Gov. Bob Holden, accusing him of harassment that included posting nude pictures of her on his Twitter account.
Denise Lunsford filed the order of protection in St. Louis County on Sept. 12 against David Cosgrove.
Cosgrove was a top Holden aide from 2003 to 2005 and has held other state government jobs, including a stint as Missouri's commissioner of securities. He is now in private practice.
Lunsford wrote in the petition that she and Cosgrove had a relationship in law school, and started up again last year. She says the harassment began after she broke off the relationship.
Cosgrove's response calls the allegations baseless.
A hearing is Oct. 3.
