Vandalia woman arrested for meth, marijuana
VANDALIA — Authorities say they arrested a 55-year-old woman Tuesday for possession and distribution of illegal drugs nearly two weeks after searching her Vandalia home.
Audrain County sheriff's deputies and Vandalia police arrested Karen Ramirez for distribution of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful use of a weapon, and keeping/maintaining a public nuisance.
The arrest came after a search, authorized by warrant, of Ramirez' home on Oct. 12. At the time, officers took a separate woman, Lori Stuart, 43, into custody on suspicion of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia possession.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the East Central Drug Task Force helped in executing the warrant.
