Vandals Damage Clayton Businesses
CLAYTON, Mo. (AP) - Police in the St. Louis suburb of Clayton are searching for vandals who caused a significant damage at several businesses. The vandals struck late Tuesday and early Wednesday, damaging at least 12 businesses. Police told KSDK-TV they recovered a stainless
steel ball they believe was used in the crimes.
Authorities also believe a pellet gun or slingshot may have been used to break plate glass windows. One business owner told the TV station that several paintings in her business were damaged, along with a huge window. Nothing was reported stolen from any of the businesses.
