BOONE COUNTY - Fourteen tombstones have been toppled in the mid-19th century Farwest Cemetery just west of Centralia. A neighbor of the cemetary reported the incident on July 4.

The vandalism is thought to have occurred between May 30 and July 4. Some of the tombstones dated back to the mid-19th century.
