Victims identified in Boone County double homicide
BOONE COUNTY - The Boone County Sheriff's Department has identified the two victims killed in Saturday's double homicide east of Columbia.
41-year-old James W. Richardson of Columbia and 42-year-old Kenneth B. Long were found near 6900 E. Mexico Gravel Road.
An employee of a company laying asphalt on Mexico Gravel Road found Richardson's body on the property of the former El Ray Trailer Court, about 75 feet from the road.
A K-9 unit also responded which led detectives to Long's body, about 150 yards away from where Richardson's body was found.
BCSD Det. Tom O'Sullivan told KOMU 8 News Saturday he thinks both deaths are related.
