Voter ID Tour to begin in Columbia
COLUMBIA - Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft will hold a Voter ID information session at 8 a.m. on Monday in Columbia. The session is the first stop on Ashcroft's week-long statewide tour, according to a press release from his office.
Ashcroft is traveling statewide to publicize and provide clarification to the media and the public about Missouri's photo Voter ID law, which took effect June 1, 2017. The session will be held at the Boone County Government Center, 801 E Walnut St.
The tour will begin in Columbia and will wrap counter-clockwise around the state, finishing in Ste. Genevieve on Friday, June 9.
