Washington University Names Campus in Honor of Danforths
The campus that houses six of the University's seven schools has long been called the Hilltop Campus. An official recognition ceremony for the name change to the Danforth Campus is planned for September 17. William Danforth became chancellor in 1971. William is the brother of former U.S. Senator, John Danforth. The recognition also honors the Danforth family and the Danforth Foundation for financial support.
