FULTON, MO -- Westminster College will make its 12th appearance in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) baseball tournament this Thursday. The Blue Jays (15-21), who are the fourth seed in the four-team field, face top-seeded Webster University (28-12) at 2:00 p.m. at Glik Park in Highland, Illinois. The three-day event continues through Saturday, with the winner advancing to the NCAA Division III national tournament.
Westminster is 21-14 all-time in SLIAC baseball tournament play and captured tournament titles in 1994, 1995 and 1999. Against Webster, the Blue Jays are 3-2 in tournament games and lost the last two contests. Westminster is 2-0 against Fontbonne University in tournament play and 3-4 against Greenville College in SLIAC tournaments.
