FULTON, MO -- The Westminster College baseball squad saw its five-game St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) winning streak come to an end with an 8-5 10-inning home loss to Principia College Tuesday.

The Blue Jays (13-17, 9-9 SLIAC), who were out hit 15-5, jumped in front 3-0 and 4-2 courtesy of Principia (10-17, 2-10 SLIAC) errors, but the bats were silent and the visitors tied the game in the eighth inning and put the game away in the tenth inning. Senior Nick Genetti went 2-for-4 to lead the offense and freshman Jake Rule (3-2), who was the sixth of seven Westminster pitchers to see action, took the loss in relief.

Westminster travels to Jefferson City to face Lincoln University in a non-conference contest before hitting the road for this weekend's conference series at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois.
