ST. LOUIS - Priscila Santos turned in her eight consecutive 20-point game to help the No. 22 William Woods University women's basketball team earn a 72-51 win over Missouri Baptist University on Wednesday night.
Santos, the reigning American Midwest Conference Player of the Week, scored 21 points and shot 10-of-15 from the field to help William Woods (23-4, 14-3 AMC) shoot 45.5 percent on the night.
The Owls held Missouri Baptist (10-19, 7-10 AMC) to a 28.2 percent performance on the night, including 15.8 percent from behind the arc.
William Woods extended its lead to 23 points in the second half before settling for the 72-51 win.
Senior Olivia Storjohann and junior Stephanie Copelin joined Santos in double-figures as the duo each scored 10 points on the night.
William Woods will be back in action on Saturday afternoon as they host No. 15 Columbia College.
Saturday is senior day at WWU as women's program will be honoring Storjohann and Taylor. Tip-off for the AMC Top 25 matchup is set for 2 p.m.
