Woman Charged with Felony DWI Has Four Priors
JEFFERSON CITY - Attorney General Chris Koster announced Tuesday he filed charges in Howard County against Columbia resident Rebecca Alpert for a Class B felony DWI. Koster said Alpert has at least four prior DWI convictions on her record and was driving with a revoked license.
Koster said Alpert was in a single-car accident on Highway 40 near the Boone County and Howard County lines. The highway patrol trooper who responded to the accident said Alpert was intoxicated. Blood samples were taken, and Alpert had alcohol levels of .192 percent and later .169 percent.
If convicted, Alpert will face five to 15 years in prison.
